Acoustic show @ Nap Hiyoshi

Lately I have been really busy writing new material for our next album, in the studio a lot and visualizing which direction I want to go with SFS's new songs. After so much time in the studio and at home I needed to get out and play some music! My friend Haku was throwing an acoustic event at Nap Hiyoshi and asked me if I wanted to play. I was happy to take the offer and decided to play, playing mostly songs that I have not introduced into SFS. My roots started from playing acoustic guitar, before I was even in a band my first instrument was an acoustic. Even now, all the songs I write for SFS start off on my acoustic guitar. I really wanted to challenge myself this time, playing in a full band is fun, but one mic, one guitar and one voice is much more of a challenge. I believe that if people will enjoy your acoustic set, that they will also enjoy your band.

The event was good, and it was Haku's birthday so the vibe was really warm. I watched all of the artists that day and was amazed at how good everyone was! I was sooooo nervous before playing, everyone was sitting right in front of me, usually I'm used to the security of a stage and lights, etc.. but this was soo RAW!! ( nama!! ) I just closed my eyes and tried my best to sing from my heart, really trying to listen to the lyrics I made and trying to remember why I wrote each song. I had a great time and plan on doing many more acoustic shows in the future as " Aaron ". I'll let you all know when my next show is, so if you are free and feel like relaxing while listening to slow style music come and check it out~
