BUG FROM HELL!!!!

When I got home today I saw this HUGE bug in front of my house!!! I have never seen this kind of bug.. it was ugly, scary and I swear it was over 10 cm!!!

AUDIO-TECHNICA SUPPORT!!!

Today we visited Audio-Technica's " TECHNICA HOUSE " to test out a few microphones. After Punkspring we got the good news that Audio-Technica would support us!! Audio-Technica, for those who don't know is one of the largest Audio/Microphone companies in the world, supporting various artists like Metallica, Linkin Park, Hoobastank, Aerosmith, Ai, Ayaka... just to name a few! The Technica House was UNREAL!!! 8 floors and a personal studio where bands can try out different equipment. I tried three different mics and found the one for me.. the AE6100 HYPERCARDIOD DYNAMIC MICROPHONE (sounds intense huh?) Believe me the sound is as intense as it's name!! GREAT MIC!! We also got 2 more Vocal mics, 2 Guitar Amp Mics, and a full mic set for the drums!!! Thank you to everyone at AUDIO-TECHNICA!!! We really appreciate all of your support!!!

GAMEBOYZ!

It's been awhile since I really had a boyz night out. I mean I have a lot of fun playing shows and hanging out with my band, but sometimes I want to become a kid again and just hang out with the boyz! Today I went to Karaoke with my close friends and had a blast!! We were having so much fun, and we found " Sunny Day " in the karaoke machine!!! It was really weird singing my own song at Karaoke! ( a little embarrasing actually.. HAZUKASHII! ) but I was happy to see my song and my name written on the screen.

After karaoke, my friends Toshi, Hiroshi and I went to a GAME CENTER! We were looking all over KANNAI for a game center that had HOUSE OF THE DEAD 4, which is a shooting game where you get to blow the heads off of virtual zombies! I used to love playing part 1 and 2 of this game, but never really tried PART 4!! The graphics were crazy and the gameplay was intense!! We were determined to finish the game so we all took turns with a pocket full of 100 yens!! After about 30~40 minutes we solved the whole game. Ahhhhhhh~~~ tanoshikatta!!! Thank you Toshi and Hiroshi for hanging out with me and showing me a good time!!! mata ikimashou ne!!!

I NEED WAVES !!!!

It's almost been 3 years since I moved to Japan from Hawaii. I love Japan, but I really miss Hawaii. I miss my friends, the nice, warm weather, the cool tropical breezes at night, the distance sounds of Hawaiian music being played at the beach and Hotels in Waikiki, the beautiful sunsets, the local plate lunches and most of all...THE SURF!!!!! I came to Japan to follow my dream of music and in order to endure on this journey, I had to make some sacrifices. Leaving Hawaii, which has been my home for more than 18 years was a big step for me. Don't get me wrong, I still love Japan, my band, the delicious food and living walking distance from the beach in Shonan! But after being here for so long and putting so much of my energy and time into my music, I slowly started to forget who I really was, who I REALLY am, and that is a WAVE LOVER! I spent most of my life in the water or near it at least. Now that I am not surfing as much as I used to, I really get depressed like there is something missing in my life. My true home is in Hawaii, I will be back soon! Until then, I got to blow the ear drums out of a few more people and then its time for THE NORTH!!!!!! Never forget who you really are....

Kyoto !

We played at Kyoto's Vox Hall today with VIBEDRED, SCREAM and FAT PROP!! It was VIBEDRED's event " far from the long beach "It was almost like a reunion!! Our last tour we played with these bands a lot and it was really cool being able to get together and play again! One thing that I love about playing in a band and touring, is not just the music, but all the friends and people you meet along the way. Kyoto is a beautiful city, still has the traditional japanese vibe to it, I hope it stays this way. The show was really fun and hanging with everyone was great!! LIFE IS GOOD!

Osaka !

We played at Osaka's DROP LIVEHOUSE!! It was our second day playing with VIBEDRED, a band that we really like and played with on our last Tour. They have a killer sound and play really good! It was Chickenrace's last show with us. I was so suprised to find out how close they live to my house in Shonan!!! NEIGHBORS!! Before the show we stopped by our friends hair salon " The Clippers " and said hi to everyone! Osaka was fun and we got to hang out with our good friends Fat Prop from Kagoshima!! We get to play the day after togetehr at Kyoto! YEAH!!

Nagoya !

" Sunny Day " has been released and we started our mini-tour to promote it. First show was at Nagoya's Apollo Theater. I always enjoy going to Nagoya, we always eat MISO KATSU!! I ate too much!!! We stopped by Tower Records and wrote some comments for our CD! Today's show we played with our friends VIBEDRED and for Chickenrace!

" Sunny Day " RELEASE PARTY @ EBISU MILK !

Today we had our " Sunny Day " Release Party at Ebisu Milk! It was our first single through our Major Label, Universal Music! We were so excited to play this night. Excited not to just play and see all of our fans and friends in one area at the same time, but also being able to play with our close friends Shove -It and Fly☆81 made the night perfect!! Thanks to everyone that came out, the party was CRAZY!!! Unfortunately, some people got injured through all the stage diving and moshing. We are very sorry and we will try our very best to make our upcoming shows safer and more enjoyable for everyone! Thank you again for making this night an unforgettable night! Hope to see all of you again at our next show! これからもよろしくおねがいします！

PUNKSPRING 2007!

DREAMS COME TRUE!! I remember watching a show at Makuhari Messe and telling myself.. " one day, I will be on that stage singing to everyone.. " well today that dream came true. We got to play at PUNKSPRING 2007!!! For those of you who don't know about PUNKSPRING.. it's basically the WARP TOUR of JAPAN or Woodstock for the older folks reading this. Over 20 famous bands from all over the world come to Japan to take place in this annual event, such as NOFX, New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, Dropkick Murphy's....etc. The show sold out with 18,000 people!! So~ we got to play this killer event, and best of all on the MAIN STAGE!! Just hearing the kickdrum during sound check sounded like an air raid. The sound was crazy, the lights were crazy, the people were crazy!! it was a CRAZY NIGHT! Playing the show was unreal, but being able to hang out and watch all of the bands that I looked up to, was the cherry on top! I Just want to say thanks to all the people that made it possible for us to play at PUNKSPRING 2007...

Ohno San, Arai San, Hirata San, Kaki san, Hayashi san and all of the Universal Music Staff, Nakashima san and Creativeman, Akila, Jino and Rock of Ages and all of the people that supported us and rocked with us at the show!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
