Angel...
Yesterday we had a show at Zengyo Z ( FLY☆81 BEACH ). From morning, I felt really bad. I was coughing, had a runny nose, and my body ached all over. "Uh~oh, this is the first signs of INFLUENZA!" I thought to myself! I drank some medicine and went to Zengyo~ I felt better when I arrived, but after sound check it hit me hard!!! My body started to get chills and my head was hurting bad! I could not escape the cold. I stayed inside the car with the heater on for almost 6~7 hours trying to beat this virus. Start From Scratch went on at 9pm so I just wanted to save as much energy as I could to be able to play our set. I managed to finish our set, but I knew that after all of that sweating and moving around, my conditon would get worse. After the show I immediately changed and went home. I'm sorry to all the bands that I couldn't watch and support. This was probably one of the worst experiences I had with INFLUENZA!
I really want to say thanks to everyone that helped me when I was sick. When you are sick you are very vulnerable and weak, and even if you don't want to, you must depend on other people to help you. At times like this, you really notice who your REAL friends are and who are NOT. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart, because of your help I was able to play the show and was able to beat this influenza in just one day. Thank you so much.

" Sunny Day " in Shonan...
Today I woke up and noticed it was a really nice and sunny day. I checked the surf report and the waves had dropped, but I decided to go for a trip to Shonan anyway. The weather was beautiful!! Felt like summer!! Shonan always makes me feel relaxed and helps me remember who I really am, not a city person but an ocean lover. I sat there in front of the beach listening to the sound of the waves. I am trying to write some new songs, I needed to clear my mind to envision concepts for my next song. I'm a strong believer in melody, but I believe the lyrics of the song is what matters the most. What's the meaning of having a beautiful looking book without an interesting story? Nothng but paper.
I Enjoyed a cold beer to myself and shared a PIZZA MAN with a TONBI (Hawk). After, I met up with Kaz and we practiced in Fujisawa. We didn't realize it but our single " Sunny Day " had already been released in stores, so we went to Tower Records and Tahara to look and write a few comments. What a perfect day for Sunny Day to come out!!

おしゃれパーマ?さらさらストレート?Which do you like?
I've known Jesse since he was 19 years old and I have seen him grow from a little kid to a young man. I've also seen how his fashion has changed over the years. Obviously he is the most fashionable in our band. hehehe! Time flies by so fast, Jesse and I were talking almost 5~6 years ago about how cool it would be if we could start a band together in Japan.... Now look at us! I'm in Japan and we are in the same band! life is funny like that! 出会いを大切に!!

never forget your roots...
I bought an album to put all of my live passes that I got from the beginning (SFS) until now. I feel it's really important to remember your roots and the path that you have taken until this moment. Also to remember all the places you've been too and the people that you have met along the way. When you put all those reminders together into a book, you can reminisce on all the good and bad times you went through. This book gives me strength to pursue my dream and one day when I'm old and have kids, grandkids, I want to show them this album and hopefully be able to lead them to their dreams too. " destination is only one step closer if you only try... " New Beginning
getting colder... Christmas is near !!
As you noticed, it has been getting really cold lately. Every morning I wake up my nose is runny and I cough a lot. The air is so crisp and cold in the morning that I don't want to leave the warmth of my bed. I don't like COLD!!! All those years in Hawaii have made me spoiled. As the weather changes and starts to move towards winter, the city lights and ornaments start to appear. Christmas is just around the corner ! I LIKE IT DAYO!

Thank you !!
I just really wanted to say thank you to everyone who has bought our CD and who have come to any of our shows. I have met many people from all over Japan who have taken an interest in our music... Papa's and Mama's, people who have driven from far away ~Sendai, Nagano, Hachioji... to see our shows. It makes me feel so happy to see all of you in the front of the stage, singing along with me. I know many times after the show, we don't have a chance to talk or just say what's up, I just really want to let you all know that all of your support and smiles gives me the energy to sing and that you guys are the ones that make the atmosphere so great! Thank you again with all of my heart and I hope that you guys will like our new single " Sunny Day " coming out 11/22/06.
look for THIS GUY at the next show!! If you find him ~ we will give you a FREE STICKER!!!!

Hawaii in Japan...
What a beautiful sunny day!! Today I went on top of my roof to enjoy the sun. If I close my ears and look up into the sky I can imagine that I am on the beach of Waikiki. It's amazing that I am looking up at the same sky and sun from Japan. All those years that I lived in Hawaii, I got so used to the sun shining everyday, blue skies and beautiful sunsets ... I took it for granted. When I moved to Japan I started to appreciate the days when you can see a nice, sun-filled day. This year Japan seems very warm, it's almost mid-November and it feels like Summer!!! LET THE SUN SHINE !!!!

LIVE AT TaU KITCHEN ~KNIT 1st.Maxi Out event 「NO PAIN NO GAIN」
Music will never die... Todays' event was held by KNIT, my friend Sho and Taku's new band. Only their second LIVE and already SOLD OUT !!! That shows dedication and great support from die-hard fans! I first met Sho about 6~7 years ago. I came to Tokyo on vacation and was site-seeing in Shibuya when I heard some music playing in the distance. I thought maybe a store was just playing music through loud speakers but then I realized that the sound was coming from a band playing Live! As I walked towards Shibuya 109, the music was getting louder and I could see a band playing on the street right in front of 109! Coming from Hawaii, where you can only play in clubs and not on the street, I was amazed! The band that was playing was " Drive Mone¥ " sho's previous band. I watched them play until they finished their set. They we're really good, energetic, passionate and very hungry towards music. A lot of people were watching and Sho and his band were really professional on promoting their band and showing respect and thanks towards their fans. After they finished their set, I walked over and told them that I liked their sound and band. We talked for a bit and I received a flyer for their next show.
From that day on I kept in contact with Sho and we became friends, I would go to his LIVE and one day he invited my band " Prom King " to play at their release party!!! I really have to say thanks to Sho and Drive Mone¥ ...because of their kindness I got to play in Japan which was always my dream. If it wasn't for DM¥ I probably wouldn't be here in Japan playing in SFS... Thank you. DM¥ came to an end.. but sho's music and passion will never come to an end. I was really happy to see him on stage again. I understand all the troubles he went through, bands falling apart, starting a new band.. but he never gave up and that gives me power to stay and to continue following my dream no matter what obstacles may appear in front of me.
Being in a band isn't just about playing shows, looking cool on stage, fashion, sponsers, stupid MYSPACE... you have to make sacrifices, you have to LOVE music, you have to LOVE being on stage, you have to LOVE your own band, you have to LOVE your fans... It doesn't matter if you play in a small LIVE HOUSE or TOKYO DOME... music should always come from your heart. be yourself and never forget your roots.....Sho これからもよろしくね!MUCH RESPECT! やろうぜ
